Je m’appelle Simon Delagrée, je suis étudiant en seconde année du Master Lettres classiques de Sorbonne Université, ainsi qu’élève à l’École Normale Supérieure (ENS). Je m’intéresse surtout à la rhétorique dans un sens très large et à son influence dans la littérature latine, pour voir ce qu’elle peut m’apprendre de l’histoire et de la culture romaines. Plus personnellement, la lecture, particulièrement celle des littératures française et anglophone, est une de mes grandes passions, avec l’histoire, la musique et le sport. Je travaille en ce moment sur la postérité et l’imitation de Cicéron dans les écoles impériales, je me réjouis donc de participer à ce beau projet ! Je suis principalement chargé d’assister à l’organisation du projet côté français partout où je peux me rendre utile.

My name is Simon Delagrée, I am a second-year student in the Classical Literature master program of Sorbonne Université, and I am a also student of the École Normale Supérieure (ENS). I am mainly interested in rhetoric in a very broad sense and its influence on Latin literature, as I try to learn more about Roman history and culture through it. More personally, reading – especially English and French literature – is one of my greatest passions, along with history, music and sport. I am currently working on the posterity and imitation of Cicero in imperial schools, so I am very glad to be a part of this amazing project!  My main task is to help organize the project on the French side everywhere I can be of help.
