My name is Math Osseforth. I’ve been teaching Latin and Ancient Greek since 1987 at gymnasia in the Netherlands.  My Master thesis was about Cicero’s De Amicitia, my PhD work about Augustine’s Confessions. My love for history and classical antiquity in particular has always been my motivation to open the doors for my students to this parallel universe, this world of wonders full of heroic and magical stories in words so beautiful it would be a shame not to be able to understand them. My wife and I run a private company which enables me as a storyteller, guide and author to show anyone who’s interested around in the world that was Rome and Greece and of all their successors; ‘everything is connected to everything else’ is the motto of our company which name is, rather aptly, The Cicero Company.
